This historic hotel was once one of the fanciest hotels in the country and played host to several U.S. presidents and celebrities including Winston Churchill, Margaret Thatcher and Michael Jackson. However, many believe that the hotel is haunted by its former owner, Alice Carter Brown. There are reports that she can still be seen roaming the halls of the hotel wearing an old-fashioned flapper dress with her hair tied back in a bun!

This cemetery has been used since the 1880s and many famous historical figures are buried there, including Horace Tabor, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Robert Marshall who helped design the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. It is said that there are sightings of the spirits of those who lost their lives in the Civil War or those who disappeared in the nearby mountains and wander around the cemetery at night. There are also reports of sounds of footsteps coming from the gravesite of one Roger Cooper – a former police chief who was shot during a shootout in 1965.

This hotel is known around the world as the site of the “White Lady” ghost. Legend has it that this ghost was the wife of Jack Stanley who was found dead in the hotel’s attic with his throat slashed in 1975. The ghost is thought to be the spirit of Sarah J. Curran who lived at the hotel between 1908 and 1912 and was believed to have committed suicide by hanging herself in the attic of the hotel. Many guests have reported hearing music coming from the room where Sarah was buried as well as seeing her apparition walking through the hotel’s corridors. The ghost has also allegedly scratched the face of one unfortunate guest who tried to open the locked door to her room!

In the 1930s, this building was the home to Denver’s only Jewish synagogue and served as a meeting place for local Jewish community leaders. The building closed after the completion of the new Temple Beth-El in 1968 but has since been renovated and is now home to the William Wolfskill Masonic Center. Visitors to the building have reported seeing an apparition of a woman dressed in white standing outside the main entrance of the building. She is also said to be the ghost of a caretaker named Emma, who died at the temple after being hit by a truck as she was leaving the building one evening. Other reports suggest that she is the ghost of the woman who was murdered in the church on the night of its consecration ceremony in 1870.

This house, which was built in the 1860s, is said to be haunted by the ghost of its original owner, Mary Byers. It is believed that she died in the mansion after she was involved in a fire that broke out in the kitchen. Since her death, she has been spotted standing in the window of the main bedroom and watching visitors as they tour the mansion. Her ghost has also been seen sitting underneath the stairway smoking a cigarette!

There are also many reports of ghosts being seen in the old cemetery surrounding the old church as well as unexplained knocks and bumps being felt around the houses. These reports form the basis for several spooky tours that take place throughout the state of Colorado every year. It is also said that many ghosts remain trapped in the astral planes after their passing and they take the shape of mists and fogs which is why people see them flying around at night. A lot of these ghosts are thought to be the souls of the dead who were not allowed to cross over to the afterlife because of some terrible mistake or wrongdoing that they had committed while they were alive.
