Summary:

This film starts with a woman making an attempt to escape a basement desperately. She is actually a female truck driver whose name is Dawn (Pamela Jayne Morgan) and who is looking to have a good slumber at the dead of night. After parking her vehicle and even before becoming comfortable, she finds a terrified girl named Phoebe (Juliette Alice Gobin) appearing on the scene. She claims that she had escaped from the car of a kidnapper and asked for the phone of Dawn. However, the phone breaks accidentally while Phoebe drops it. Now they have no other choice but to leave, but Dawn was not able to find the truck’s keys. They are caught in a dilemma and have to take shelter in the truck itself. However, it soon becomes clear that they are not the only people out there as the night advances. Eventually, both ladies comprehend the fact that they must have faith in one another in case they wanted to survive a night packed with unexpected incidents that catch them by surprise. Along with Goodbye Honey, also make sure to watch Tar, a horror film, which is going to be released later this year.

Review:

Goodbye Honey happens to be a solid thriller which keeps the audience at the edge of their seats all the while. While Morgan and Gobin lead the way with their intense but understated performances happening at the dead of the night, the direction of Strand helps to keep the suspense and tension rolling along. Although the writing might use some tidying, it is nevertheless a fantastic concept which plays out properly for the major part of the film. However, the ending pack of the movie should have got some more gut punch and not given away so early. Irrespective of this, Goodbye Honey can be considered to be an entertaining thriller along with another upcoming film, Tar, which one should not miss at any cost.
