Nothing much is remaining of their family business for Barry Greenwood and Zach, his son. Their employees have been compelled to close their store and move out with the subway of the city expanding below their feet and with the prospect of their office building being demolished. However, in the gloomy depths of the world-renowned La Brea Tar Pits of Los Angeles, you will come across an ancient secret which happens to be a creature that has been aroused by the construction going on underground. This transforms a somber night for Barry and his colleagues into a frantic struggle for survival.

Although the film is slated to be scary, it is nothing but some loud noises happening in the dark while the actions are almost incomprehensible for most parts of the film since they have been covered in darkness. The way in which the creature goes around clawing the folks appears to be rather uncreative in the long run. Moreover, you will come across a one-liner at the end of the movie which appears to be quite hilarious. In a nutshell, it can be rightly asserted that this film does not rise to great heights at any point in time.
